Returning back to school: Should or Shouldn’t I?

It's been a week now that I received the news that I had to go back to school. I firstly came home at the month of May to celebrate Eid with my family. Due to Coronavirus, students had to learn online. Weeks turned months, now it's November. I'm actually like online class, but sometimes I really hate it. Well, I am lucky to have all of these gadgets to learn with. Some of my friends don't even have them or maybe have a hard time with learning online.

When I heard that we are going back to our hostel, I had mixed feeling. I really want to go back to see all of my friends, my teachers and even the food there. I quickly started listing what I need to buy and started packing. I went to Mr. DIY to buy some stuffs and ironed my clothes. I am so excited to go back. Once I am there, I can't wait to see all of my friends again and talk about our experience.

Nevertheless, at the same time, I don't feel like going back. I feel reluctant to leave my family, my home and my cats. I don't know if I want to go or not. Well, if we look a little bit deeper, I assume we should. Learning at home might be fun but it made all of us negligent. We didn't really do our homework or focus in class. We loose our spirit to study more with so much distraction around. It's okay to feel sad, but let's look at the bright side. We're going to meet all of our friends and learn face to face with our teachers! It can motivate us to study even more!  Yeah, I might be missing my family the most once I return back to school. But, I know that they're putting their trust in me to study and become successful.

Vacation that I had Recently

It was humid Saturday morning when my family and I decided to go on a short holiday. We went to the World Heritage City, Taiping last weekend. We spent time together and created wonderful memories. It took us about an hour with a car to get there. We made a detour to Lenggong and did some sightseeing at Dataran Tasik Raban. I really enjoyed the scenery especially the sky mirrored on the surface of the lake. It was so enchanting. Not to forget the beautiful highland grass-Clad mountain with white puffy clouds. How can someone not be enthralled by that?

Then, we checked in and rested at the hotel. Later that night, we went exploring at Zoo Taiping Night Safari. There's a lot of animals with different kind of behaviors. We witnessed for the first time ever a lion roaring in front of us! It was quite intimidating but at the same time was so fascinating to watch. We also got to witness the cute antics of a small goofy sun bear and many other animals. Sadly, we didn't get to record anything on the phone because it was dark. But, we kept it inside our mind and called it as memories. There's nothing much better than  good memories with the one you loved.

The next day, we went to the Lake Gardens and had a comfortable and quaint little picnic by the lake side. We chatted idly while eating our lunch. That was a peaceful time for our family.  The weather was breezy and nice. I managed to spend some time practising my photography skills. We went back home after that because we missed our little kitties. I forgot to mention earlier, my cat, Sanna, had given birth to two cute little kittens. But, that is a story for another day.

JUST ME, AN ORDINARY GIRL

I am Rasyiqah, a 15 years old girl who lives in a small town. I live in a cozy house with my family . My family is a very supportive family. I really can't imagine having life without them. We are a family of five. There's my mother, father, big brother and little sister. I am the first daughter and the second child of my parents. I also have a cat, Sanna. My little sister named it from her favourite Youtuber.

My mother is the best mom in the world! She always care for me, the way she has taken care of me and my siblings over the years proves that she is an amazing woman. My father is the greatest man ever! Even though he gets upset at our faults and may lament that we did not attain what he hoped for us, he loves us no less for it. As for my brother and sister, they are always there for me when I am feeling down. While Sanna, she always is the best at accompany me. I really grateful for having such a family.

I am really into books! I like to read in my leisure time. I really like to read the works by Teme Abdullah. Even though I don't have his books yet because I just read it at my school, I will get it one day. When I was little, I thought that reading is so boring. But now, I realize that reading can strengthen our brain and also help build our vocabulary. Besides reading, I am also interested in archery. I join the archery club in my school and also had the opportunity to compete in the archery games for my school. Archery is the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad and can improve hand-eye coordination.

I am studying in a boarding school. There, I learnt to become a more independent and responsible person by learning to manage my time, become a self motivator, clean, and make new friends. My school is an all girls school. My friends are very loving and easygoing and my teachers are very warm, sweet and supportive teachers. I love learning there because of the beautiful heartfelt people in the school.
